Local Vendor Program

Wheatsborough Solar is a significant investment in Erie County that will create hundreds of local construction-related jobs as well as long-term operations jobs and contractor needs through the life of the project.

Solar farm construction is a specialized process, but it requires common products and services, many of which can be found locally. Apex recently selected DEPCOM as our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for Wheatsborough Solar and will be closely coordinating with them to hire local workers and subcontractors to build the project. Many of these entities could be local. By  signing up with our Local Vendor Program, you can ensure that your company's name and contact information will be provided to the primary contractor(s) before they select their subcontractors and crews.

To learn more about the types of services that are needed to support solar farm construction, visit our Building a Solar Farm page.
